Ink 3d

I like to challenge myself and draw an image with just ink (no pencil guides) right out of the gate. Trying not to make too many mistakes, and if I do... I work them into the image. For instance his hair turned into brains, and the lower half converted into a slug monster.
Now I'm going make it look like the classic 3D you see in the old comics.

Band Poster

Made a little poster for my musician friend.
I asked him two things: Name a favorite animal and color.

He came up with... Wildabeest & Pink.

This is what I made up for him.
Go see the show, if you like funky folk.

Marker Rabbit!

Rabbit with turtleneck
-Prismacolor marker-

SPLAT!

Mr. Orange can shrink and teleport.
Also he has a penchant for destroying fruit.
I dunno why I drew this, maybe in my subconscious I want to escape.

Wah!

He is just as shocked as you are from that last post.
-Prismacolor marker-

A crack in the bottle.

It might be a little person... but why is he naked?

Lazy eyes

On my lunch breaks I've been trying to bust out the Wacom tablet. I'll do a quick grayscale painting with the airbrush. I used a canvas overlay that I scanned in to give more texture.

Art Show!!

I'm in a video game art show on Friday:

This November Altered Esthetics will unveil the third installment of Level_13, our biennial video game themed show.

Level_13: The Secret Level will offer a look at the way classic video games have influenced an entire generation of artists. The exhibit will feature an eclectic and vibrant mix of classic video game inspired visual art, installation and music.

Please join us for the opening reception on November 7, 2008 at 7:00pm.

As you can see I chose Bubble Bobble as my art subject.

DRAWMIT!!!!

Hello!

Drawmit is a combination of the two lovely words Draw and vomit.

This site will show my random sketches I do during the week, in hopes of becoming more fluid in my abilities.

Feel free to comment and I hope you will enjoy them throughout the weeks.
