Hello all.

Just to let you all know I haven’t abandoned this blog. I’m knee deep into the largest project of my professional artistic career. My Art Director wants me to wait until it becomes public domain in late October, then I can post it all.

Photo Shoot Number Two

I know this is my drawing blog, but this idea has been kicking around in my head for awhile. Luckily my musician friend Nick Rod, let me run wild with the big self recording little self concept.

Foray into photography

I was graciously asked to do a photo session with my friend’s band July Fighter. I had a lot of fun, and the guys were easy to work with. The vinyl sticker was designed by me. I had some worries it wouldn’t stick but after the nervous application (and a few winkles) it stayed up.

I had the guys hold the sparklers up, and it made a heart shape. It made the photo shoot for me.

Panera sketches

I had some down time waiting for my buddy to get off work, so I drew my Mediterranean veg sandwich and a creepy mist eyed freak. Don't go see Transformers2, while ILM did a bang up job... the rest is a complete mess.

A new variation drawing

More about my dream I had the other night.

This little punk kid kept shouting louder and louder, and a word bubble began to grow.
Out popped a strange teal alien. It couldn’t talk, but it tried to communicate with me by pushing shapes out of his head. I started to get dizzy and woke up.

I asked a friend to name an animal and a vegetable.
This is what I came up with.

Nulm

Nulm is sort of an evil spirit. He puts the bitter taste in crabapples, what a jerk.

He really doesn’t have horns; he just styles his hair that way.

Oh and this my 50th post, man time flys.

A new experiment...

I had some leftover white adhesive vinyl at work. So I made some "deft" cuts with the xacto blade... and then I stuck it on some cardboard. And there you have it... a rabbit man?

As you can see in the photo I'm so quick with the xacto knife, I cut my finger tip really bad. I'm lucky I didn't bleed all over the image. I'm such a klutz.

Guilt

After all these years I still feel deep shame for killing that Blue Jay as a young boy. I will never give my child a BB gun, for fear of making the same mistake I have.
